Eero is reinventing WiFi, seamlessly blending beautiful product design with a seamless user experience.
I worked directly with the eero design team and my creative partner to concept and design the initial packaging and unboxing experience of the first batch of eero units to ship to customers. To illustrate eero’s unique mesh wifi capabilities, we worked with a local illustrator to design and plan a modern 4 bedroom home for the back of the packaging.
Additional work included a series of home visualizations for their refreshed website.
Eero’s direct to consumer sales model allowed us to keep the packaging as simple and sophisticated as the brand itself. To convey the mesh technology we commissioned a local illustrator to help us concept and design a fictional home for an ideal eero multi-unit customer, complete with mid-century furniture and artwork details. The outer sleeve conveyed a premium feel through the use of emboss and foil logo hits, while the inside pattern added a splash of unexpected color upon opening.
Eero is all about simplifying the WiFi, starting from the moment you open the product packaging. We leveraged color and tabs and clever copy to ensure a straightforward unboxing experience. The result was a box that acted as a helpful guide to the set-up experience while being a visual reflection to the brand as a whole.
